A downloadable tool for Windows
RAMsleep helps you free up memory without closing the programs you want to return to. Select an app to sleep it, or use Sleep minimized to pause heavy minimized programs. RAMsleep keeps them open, groups related helper processes, and can wake them when you interact with them. Ctrl+Shift+F12 wakes everything RAMsleep put to sleep.
Trim RAM releases a selected program’s working set without freezing it. You can start RAMsleep with Windows and keep it in the system tray.
For 64-bit Windows with .NET Framework 4.x. Save your work before sleeping a program: background tasks pause until it wakes. Some programs require administrator access.
